Billy Steinberg has been among the most successful songwriters of the past two decades, five #1 singles on the Billboard's "Hot 100" chart, including "Like A Virgin" (Madonna), which was recently honored by Rolling Stone & MTV as the #4 song on their list of the "100 Greatest Pop Songs", "True Colors" (Cyndi Lauper), "So Emotional" (Whitney Houston), "Eternal Flame" (The Bangles) and "Alone" (Heart). Additionally, Billy co-wrote six other well-known Top 10 U.S. pop hits, including "I'll Stand By You" (Pretenders), "I Touch Myself" (the Divinyls), "How Do I Make You" (Linda Ronstadt), "I Drove All Night" (Roy Orbison & Cyndi Lauper), "In Your Room" (The Bangles) and he won a Grammy Award for producing and writing the title cut, "Falling Into You," on Celine Dion's multi-platinum, 1996 album.

In The Round

Four Years Old
is a newly formed Los Angeles based acoustic songwriting and performing duo, consisting of founding members Jay Matsueda and Kristofer McNeeley.

Since their recent debut at "The Knitting Factory", Kristofer and Jay have been authoring, recording and performing original music furiously, the attention and encouragement from other professionals and peers has been astounding and they are excited and honored to be a part of this evening and share the stage with such talented songwriters and musicians.

Deena Rubinson
A performer from an early age, Deena Rubinson spent her musical adolescence in the grind of New York, composing songs, clinging to the guitar, and frequenting small clubs but it wasn't until she moved to Los Angeles that the Maryland native fully turned her attention to playing her own songs.

Barely a year after the release of her debut CD, "36 Hours", word is fast getting out about the doe-eyed, dark-haired songstress. On the strength of her disarmingly smart and provocative songs and her easy, intimate performances, audiences have been enthralled, and critics have been charmed. Rubinson simply feels that, "if a song can stand up with just a voice and a guitar, it's a good song." Her influences include singer-songwriters such as Patty Griffin Elvis Costello and Bonnie Raitt--musicians whom she says, "are storytellers, first and foremost."
