Kara DioGuardi is one of the industry's most highly sought after songwriter/producers whose songs and album productions are continuously topping the charts and winning awards world-wide. Kara currently has a catalog of more than 500 songs; in 2004/2005 Kara had 106 of those songs released and 55 appeared on multi-platinum selling albums.
Based in Los Angeles, Kara's recent collaborations have included major label artists such as Christina Aguilera, Jewel, Gwen Stefani, Santana, Kelly Clarkson, the Pussycat Dolls, Ashlee Simpson, Bo Bice, Hilary Duff, Pink and Nick Lachey. Previously, Kara has enjoyed success with international hit singles for artists such as Enrique Iglesias, Celine Dion, Kylie Minogue, Anastacia, Delta Goodrem, Darius, and Thalia. Kara's songs are continuously featured in major motion pictures, television shows, film soundtracks, and nation-wide commercial campaigns.
Musical at a young age, Kara also pursued a degree in economics at Duke University and went on to become one of Billboard Magazine's top sales managers in New York City, making her an astute and successful entrepreneur. With business partner and music executive Stephen Finfer, Kara has catapulted her company Arthouse Entertainment to rank number 8 on Billboard's chart of top national music publishers. A performing artist in her own right, Kara formed the band Platinum Weird with collaborator Dave Stewart (of Eurythmics fame), releasing their eponymous album on Interscope Records. Kara also made her network television debut in this year's ABC series, "The One: The Making of a Music Star," and has continued to pursue television and film ventures.
