SHELLY PEIKEN, successful songwriter of Christina Aguilera's number 1 hit, "What A Girl Wants" began writing songs as a little girl. She co-wrote "Bitch" with Meredith Brooks, and the single spent four weeks at the number 2 spot on the charts.
Other hits include "Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You)" which also reached the top of the charts for Aguilera and Brandy's "Almost Doesn't Count". In addition, she has cuts by The Divinyls, Celine Dion, Taylor Dayne, Mandy Moore and country stars Keith Urban and LeAnn Rimes.
A graduate of University of Maryland, Shelley originally envisioned a career as a fashion designer in New York but soon after turned to music. Her yearning to be closer to music led her to Bleeker Street in New York, where she found work performing in clubs and waiting tables. "It was a long time, six or seven years, until I was able to really earn a living solely from music." Most aspiring songwriters fail to achieve even one big hit, and often complain about difficulty in getting their songs heard by artists, producers and record companies. Peiken said those doors were opened to her by fearlessness and the relationships she established early in the business.
Shelly writes about 50 songs per year. Among those, in due time she estimates half will be recorded; eight will be released as singles; three will receive enough radio play to make the charts. Hopefully, she said, "one will be a big hit."

Often compared to the lead singers of Coldplay and Radiohead, MARIO DALKA's love for the guitar started with the introduction of Fleetwood Mac at age four... A native of Poland, raised in Canada, Mario played his first air guitar in the 4th grade to Bon Jovi's "shot through the heart"... Now at 25, he has lived in 4 countries, 10 cities, with the ultimate vision of creating quality art. With a blend of cool, unconventional chords, a tinge of dark humour and powerful, soulful, hypnotic vocals, Mario's artistry will leave you wanting more.

recently opened for Natalie Merchant in Telluride, Colorado and performed on the main stage at the Kerrville Folk Festival. In 2002, she won Song of the Year in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest (Over 30,000 entries). In addition, she took first place in the Troubadour Competition, at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. Her debut CD, "A Room Up For Rent" was produced by Grammy nominated Jay Donnellan and has received rave reviews. "Mary Coppin's voice has a magical quality, somewhere between Natalie Merchant and The Kinleys that cuts through the ordinary and can literally hush a noisy club. Her Pop/rock/folk songs take you on a journey from evocative questions to joyful answer", Chris Boardman, film composer.
